Sherman was known for using the highest quality Swarovski crystals; this piece creates the illusion of a small cushion using dark purple rounds and the palest lilac baguettes. The stones form a grid; the rounds are prong-set, and the baguettes are bar-set in the heavy, well-crafted rhodium-plated setting marked Sherman on its back. Circa 1950.
