Cut steel jewels have that quality we call "The Dark Sparkle." This delicate Georgian bar pin is beautifully made, each faceted cut steel stud is individually riveted to the brooch's frame. I believe the piece is meant to represent a comet or shooting star. It secures with the C-clasp common to the era. Circa 1820.
